LS1 LS6 99-04 Cylinder Head Stud Kit 4.8L 5.7L 1999-2004
Alper Motorsports LS Head Studs for 1999 and some 2004. These head studs are created from aircraft quality 8740 high tensile strength chrome moly steel. This is a 205,000 PSI kit that comes complete with 12 point hex nuts and washers. Fits 1999 - 2003 some 2004 LS Motors.
This kit Comes with 3 Different Length Studs. This Kits Should Only be Installed by a Experienced Professional Engine Builder. Coarse treads that go into the block should have a light oil to keep from rusting before install, (do not use any other Lubricant on the coarse studs or they could twist and brake) Never use ARP lube on the Coarse Side. ONLY hand tighten the studs into the block or 5lbs of Torque, Always use a Calibrated Torque Wrench. Apply ARP torque Lube on All of the Fine Threads, Make sure the Threads are coated 100% with Lube, only the fine Thread.
Apply ARP torque lube above and below the washers. Apply ARP torque lube on the bottom side of the 12 point nuts, and inside the 12 point nuts.
